Views might also vary about whether this matters very much. After all, Churchill clearly drank quite a lot when he was Prime Minister of the UK during WW2.
But Churchill was smart, and exuded clarity, determination and competence. If Kamala wins the US election, and gives the impression of being drunk on the job, that is not going to weather very well.
Some might say, “Who can blame her?” She is already out of her depth, and the pressure will get much worse if she wins. But still. Not a good look.
