My daughter Annabel turns out to be a bit of a whizz with her camera. This is her photo of one of the local pair of wedge-tailed eagles, taken above my “garden” this morning.
There is a danger, I suppose, of my becoming a bit of an eagle bore. But that is because I still take childlike delight when I see them flying around the house, typically barely moving their wings at all.
With a wingspan of about 7 feet, these guys are a shade bigger than golden eagles. Fabulous animals, I reckon.
